VSE and SHS found a joint company SHS Ventures First cooperation between the energy industry and steel industry for economic development in the Saarland

As a result, new opportunities present themselves and allow active participation in current developments.

SHS Ventures will specifically contact young start-up companies including in the fields of Industry 4.0, infrastructure and the energy industry. With regard to the founding of SHS Ventures, the Chairman of VSE, Dr. Hanno Dornseifer commented, “The objective is to open up new areas of business for our companies through new cooperation and thus make a contribution to safeguarding the future of the location and providing job security in the Saarland”.

The VSE group has a bond with the steel industry in the Saarland that has been created by working together successfully for many years. The companies now want to build upon this basis. In the joint company SHS Ventures, SHS - Stahl-Holding-Saar GmbH & Co. KGaA and VSE AG are concentrating their business development activities and want to create a platform for more growth and innovation.

“As a technological leader in our industry, innovation is the engine that drives our further development. Start-up companies will make a contribution to strengthening our activities in this area” said Dr. Michael Müller, Chairman of the Management Board at SHS - Stahl-Holding-Saar.

SHS Ventures has already commenced work. Presently, promising start-up companies at home and abroad are being identified and examined.
