The increasing complexity of the insurance market demands integrated management that provides a framework within which the legal and economic implications of insurance can be analyzed for each specific company.

For this reason, Versicherungskontor Saarstahl GmbH (VKS) was merged in July 2011 with Versicherungsvermittlung Dillinger Hütte Saarstahl GmbH (VV-DHS) to form a joint company – SHS Versicherungskontor GmbH.

SHS Versicherungskontor GmbH is an affiliated insurance agent, also known as an in-house broker. As a wholly owned subsidiary of SHS - Stahl-Holding-Saar, SHS - Versicherungskontor is responsible for insurance brokerage and for carrying out all activities related to brokering and taking out insurance policies. The company’s principal tasks include identifying risks and covering the determined insurance requirements by purchasing insurance policies at the best possible market conditions as well as coordinating claims management.

The service is provided to SHS - Stahl-Holding-Saar, Dillinger and Saarstahl as well as to their German and foreign subsidiaries.
